Assessment:
We know that your time is precious and that you cannot afford to have employees taking time off from their daily roles to complete qualifications. This is why NVQs are assessed "on-the-job" by assessors coming out to you and watching the NVQ candidates work. Their level of skill and knowledge can then be checked against the  requirements set out in the National Occupational Standards and if they meet this standard, they will be qualified. If the NVQ candidates are not quite up to this standard, training can be suggested and organised to support your workers up to this level so they can achieve their qualification.

Depending on the prior knowledge of the candidates, the qualification can take between three to six months to complete.

Funding: We can help you find funding in your area to contribute towards the cost of your NVQ, or in some instances, fund it completely. Contact our advisors who will be happy to help with your enquiry.

glass manufacture exams

We run yearly examinations for City and Guilds unit 069 in "The Nature of Glass" and "Raw Materials and Batch Mixing". This is particularly aimed at young people and adult learners who are studying, or wish to study, Section I of the Glass Manufacture Distance Learning Programme.

automotive technician accreditation

We can put you on contact with a leading provider of the ATA qualification in the south of England. For more about what the ATA can mean for you, see http://www.automotivetechnician.org.uk/

short courses

A qualification may not always be the most relevant way to ensure quality and safety in your organisation. We are able to provide half-day, one-day and two-day short courses to cover a myriad of subjects, from training the trainer programmes to health and safety sessions, presentation skills to manual handling. These courses can either be delivered here at the Quadrant in Sheffield, or if there are enough candidates, at your workplace.

All our training courses can be tailored to suit your specific requirements and we will endeavour to use real-life situations and scenarios from your company to ensure that our training courses are as relevant as they can be.

Each course runs slightly differently depending on the subject matter, but all courses are limited to ten people to ensure that every candidate receives the support they need to fully understand the course content. Sessions include practical tasks, video presentations and discussions to vary delivery and ensure maximum candidate participation.

All prices are for courses held at the Quadrant and include refreshments. For more details about how to arrange a course to be run in-house at your company,
contact us.
